MIKE 2026
Displaceable Manhole Covers
Manholes can now be defined with a new Displaceable Cover type, allowing the cover opening to vary gradually with pressure using a user-defined pressure–opening relationship. This enhancement provides a more realistic simulation of hydraulic behaviour under flooding conditions, where non-sealed covers lift progressively as internal pressure increases. The resulting opening percentage is also saved for detailed post-analysis.
Water Minus Pipe Top Level Result Item
A new result item, Water minus pipe top level, is now available in pipes, automatically calculating the difference between water level and pipe top elevation. This enhancement streamlines analysis by removing the need for manual post-processing in tools like Excel, allowing users to quickly verify if pipes have sufficient capacity and support efficient pipe design decisions.
MIKE 2025 Update 1
More easily manage rainfall events in simulations
- You can now tag boundary conditions with event names like "100-year" or "30-year", and select the relevant tag when running simulations.
- This means no more toggling individual boundaries on and off, or setting up full scenarios just to swap rainfall data.
- It’s a simpler way to manage multiple return periods, and makes re-running simulations much faster and less error-prone.
Get extreme LTS results at custom recurrence intervals
- It's now possible to generate result maps and profile plots for any recurrence interval you choose in LTS simulations - even if it's not one of the intervals directly output by the models.
- MIKE+ will interpolate the data so you can match commonly used rounded intervals like 1, 2, 5, 10 years. This makes it much easier to align your results with regulatory standards and presentation needs
Simplify migrations with a new hydrological model type
- A new hydrological model type is now available in MIKE 1D, combining the New UK and Wallingford routing methods.
- Available for both collection systemd and river models, it helps you import setups that use similar approaches from other platforms.
- This is part of ongoing improvements to simplify model migration into MIKE+—allowing you to bring in network structures, catchments, loads, and boundaries with minimal adjustment.
Experience smarter conflict resolution in version updates
- We’ve improved how you manage conflicts in the 'Update' tool within Versions Management.
- You can now filter changes by data type, use a new 'Field Calculator' to batch-edit actions, and save your manual edits to pick up where you left off.
- Whether you're reviewing a few updates or working through a long list over several sessions, it's now easier to stay in control and resume work at your own pace.
